Happy Halloween to all and Happy Birthday to me!
On October 31, 28 years ago, I introduced myself to the world.
Dear world, I’ve officially begun my 28th year of life and guess what? I’m excited! I give God the praise, honor and the glory for keeping my family and me in good health through these long days and short years. The coming year looks promising and I’m holding fast to the things I’ve placed on my prayer list. I know with God, that all these things are possible.
Many dread growing older but I’m excited about it because I’ve come such a long way from the young lady that I once was. I also can’t help but to think of what life has in store for me because after what I’ve been through this year, I know that what the devil tried to steal from me, he didn’t suceed and I’m ready to reap all the joy from the tears that I’ve sewn.
You see, there are two seasons in life: Either you’ve just come out of a storm or you’re heading into one and I’ll tell ya, almost this whole year has been quite the storm–full of trials and tribulation. My faith has been tested that’s for sure but I know it was not all for nothing. I feel DEEP down inside that I’m better because of all of it and now I know it’s time to get to the good part.
This year, I wanted to keep it light and spend time with my boys. No parties, no expensive dinners, a little shopping (tee hee) and just…time. That’s all I want and that’s what I’m grateful for: time with my family and plenty of pics to document it all (my brother and I are the family paparrazi). Chief comments all the time about the amount of pictures I snap but I always tell him, he’ll thank me when he’s old and decrepit and can’t remember many of those precious and fleeting moments.
I’ve been working on a few videos and as anyone that makes vidoes knows, editing is quite the task! That’s the main reason I’ve been slow with the posting lately, but I’ll be back in full effect next week.
Until next time, toodles!
